The Christmas cactus in full bloom mingling with the jade.
My orange tree gave me ONE whole orange this year. At least it’s a pretty one!
The poor daffodils think it’s spring :/ it seems like we go through this every year here in Louisiana….
I have a new friend! I got this awesome little self cleaning fish tank that’s it’s own little aquaponic ecosystem. The fish waste feeds the plants growing on the top which in turn nourish and clean the water :) and the little male beta I got is quite a beauty!
Moms camellias starting to bloom and looking beautiful :)
Favorite new house decoration from a dear friend 😊 #yoshitomonara
I got fancy Jonathan Adler socks in my Birchbox and they’re amazingly comfy and soft. And warm which is most important right now.
Had a new Birchbox waiting for me when I got home full of goodies :D Always makes me happy!
M.I.A. - Bring the Noize
It’s ok to dance in your living room….I won’t tell anyone.
My number 20 album of the year is M.I.A.’s Matangi. I think M.I.A. is in the love or hate category for most people. I have to admit, she drives me nuts sometimes too, but I really do love this new album of hers. What I love about M.I.A is that she writes music that defies genre. It’s not quite hip-hop, it’s not quite electronic, it’s a little bit of both, but it’s uniquely and very identifiably her. I actually really liked her last album despite the negative criticism it got, but this album is certainly an improvement over it. There were songs on the last album that were hard to listen to even if you were a fan of hers….she tends to write music that is sometimes just…noise. And I’m a fan of noisy music, but it’s not always GOOD noise. She gets it right with this album though. I’ll post a sample after this. Like I said, not for everyone, but for me, definitely on my top 20 list!
