dreaming of stuff

My poor plants are all confused by this weather :( We’re having quite the warm winter! I have daffodils trying to come up but not flowering. As you can see, part of my lavender is turning yellow and dying while other parts are budding new lavender! My pomegranate tree which should be dormant right now is sprouting new leaves…and a couple of volunteer tomato plants have come up around the pomegranate tree from the compost I put in there. And in mid january, they’re still thriving!

My mom likes to look at my pomegranate tree and say “man, that plant has balls” :/

I’ve been thinking of picking this little pomegranate, but I don’t know if it’s fully grown yet…it’s a dwarf pomegranate so I know they stay pretty small. I also know that they’re more of an ornamental fruit, but I’ve heard that they actually taste pretty good!

AND finally..my one lone little pomegranate which is quite beautiful…I just really hope I get more than this one this year!

Looks like I’m getting my first pomegranate of the year!!! The flower opened and I can see now how it will take the shape of a pomegranate….Neat to see it grow.

I’m loving how beautiful this little dwarf pomegranate tree is!! It’s come to life so quickly. When I planted it, it was just a bunch of empty branches…the leaves are so vivid and pretty on it. Can’t wait until the flowers come out and then the little pomegranates!
