Thought I’d post an update on the succulent garden I planted…of everything the Jade seems to be doing the best by far…that sucker grows!

We got this really pretty planter and had no idea what to put in it…but I found something I really love at my local nursery. I forgot what it’s called but it starts with a P :p The flowers are gorgeous during the day…they close as the sun goes down and they’re halfway to closing here..have to post pics soon of the opened flowers. The leaves are succulents.

Found a new little plant sprouting out of the side of my strawberry planter!! It looks like some type of succulent, but it’s leaves are thin and fuzzy. Whatever it is, I love it!! It just popped up on it’s own. I love the whole little ecosystem that my strawberry planter has set up…strawberries on top, this fun little plant on the side, and moss covering the bottom hole :)

Various trailing succulents that I put in our strawberry pot this year. Last year I used moss roses, which did very well but got a little pathetic later in the summer. Everything in this pot is perennial in my area (except the ice plant at the bottom), so if I stick them in the garage for the winter, they’ll all come back next year!

Love this idea!! Totes doing it!
